Job description

We are seeking a qualified Certified Authorization Agent (CAA) to join our team. This role is pivotal to our operations, as the selected candidate will serve as a vital link between our members and the IRS. The successful candidate will be tasked with providing essential support and guidance to members in obtaining an Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN) by facilitating the Form W-7 application process. Ensuring that they meet all necessary compliance requirements.

This position demands a comprehensive knowledge of IRS processes, regulations, and policies. In addition to assisting members with IRS examinations, ensure that all documentation is accurately completed and submitted on time.

Responsibilities

Assist members in completing IRS forms and maintaining accurate documentation for tax compliance purposes.
Verify members identities and supporting documents for ITIN applications as a Certified Authorization Agent.
Monitor changes in tax policies and IRS regulations, ensuring the firm remains compliant and informed.

Requirements

Certification as a CAA is required.
Strong understanding of IRS regulations and procedures pertaining to individual tax returns.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to engage effectively with members and IRS representatives.
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills essential for managing members’ files and documentation.
